The blade is made of AL 6061 T6 aluminum, and the shaft is made of high-quality 7075 T6 aluminum, both lightweight and strong. The telescopic, rapid-closure shaft allows quick adjustments, and the switchover function makes it suitable for left and right-handers.
The pack-friendly blade has step grooves to prevent slipping, a sharp and sturdy cutting edge, high sidewalls, and a pronounced center ridge for optimal rigidity. Thanks to notches in the material, the shovel is suitable for building a rescue sled or as a snow anchor. It is compatible with the PRO ALU III shaft and fits in all ORTOVOX backpacks.
